'Korea Fintech Week 2020' to be Held at DDP in May
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] The international fintech (financial technology) expo, 'Korea Fintech Week 2020,' will be held from May 28 to 30 at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul.
The Financial Services Commission announced on the 15th that it has launched a task force (TF) to prepare for Korea Fintech Week and held its first meeting.
The theme of this year's event, held for the second time following last year, is 'Open Innovation through Fintech.' This year, the venue will be expanded to accommodate over 100 individual exhibition spaces, doubling last year's number of 54 booths.
This year's event will feature special sessions and side and permanent events related to fintech scale-up strategies, overseas expansion, and investment. To increase public interest in fintech, experience and education sessions for the general public will also be provided. Additionally, a new fintech business model briefing will be held to discover innovative ideas.
