Yeonggwang-gun Promotes 'Public Sanitation Facility Environment Improvement Project'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeon Seong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Junsung) announced on the 15th that it will promote the ‘Public Hygiene Establishment (Accommodation) Environment Improvement Project’ to create a clean and hygienic lodging environment ahead of the 59th Jeonnam Sports Festival.
This project targets accommodation establishments in the jurisdiction under the Public Hygiene Management Act and supports 70% of the costs for wallpapering, flooring, and carpet replacement to improve outdated rooms and corridor environments.
The application period is from today until the 7th of next month, and establishments wishing to apply can visit the Sports Industry Division Hygiene Team at the county office to fill out and submit the application form.
The county plans to finalize the project recipients after fair review by the County Hygiene Establishment Support Deliberation Committee following document screening and on-site evaluation.

A county official stated, “In preparation for the 59th Jeonnam Sports Festival to be held in April, we will thoroughly manage hygiene at each establishment to enhance the cleanliness and friendly image of lodging facilities,” adding, “We will do our best to provide hygienic and comfortable lodging services to athletes and visitors coming to the county.”
