[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters is opening and operating 'Cold Weather Shelters for Mobile Workers' at 182 locations across the province.
The Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters announced on the 15th that from January to March this year, they will open and operate 'Cold Weather Shelters for Mobile Workers' at 182 fire stations and 119 safety centers throughout the province, providing mobile workers who work outdoors during the winter cold a comfortable place to rest.
Mobile workers such as mail carriers, delivery drivers, and quick service couriers who work outdoors can use the shelters.
The shelters are equipped with rest areas where mobile workers can comfortably relax, as well as heating devices and warm drinking water.
In particular, since mobile workers are at high risk of cold-related illnesses such as hypothermia and frostbite, as well as cardiovascular diseases, paramedics conduct health checks on-site, including blood pressure and body temperature measurements.
