Yoon Jong-won Launches IBK's 'Innovation Promotion TF'... Holds First Official Meeting
President Yoon Holds First Management Issue Review Meeting Since Inauguration... Orders Establishment of 'Innovation Promotion TF'
Receives Key Business Reports and Plans Management Strategy to Ensure Stable Organizational Operation
[Asia Economy Reporter Haeyoung Kwon] Yoon Jong-won, President of IBK Industrial Bank of Korea, emphasized 'innovation' to all executives at his first official meeting after taking office and ordered the launch of an 'Innovation Promotion Task Force (TF).' Although the union's strike to block his attendance, opposing the 'bureaucrat-origin' president, has continued for the 11th day, President Yoon expressed his willingness to continue dialogue with the union while planning to operate the bank, which serves as the 'financial lifeline for small and medium enterprises,' stably without any gaps.
IBK Industrial Bank of Korea announced that on the 13th, it held the first 'Management Issue Review Meeting' of the new year at the Bankers Club of the Korea Federation of Banks in Jung-gu, Seoul, chaired by President Yoon. The Management Issue Review Meeting is a regular meeting held twice a month, where all executives gather under the president's leadership to review and discuss domestic and international economic and financial market trends, as well as major management situations.
At the meeting the previous day, President Yoon emphasized 'management innovation,' including leading 'innovative finance' through institutional reforms and innovating organizational culture through open communication with employees, and ordered the establishment of an innovation promotion TF.
They reviewed the impact of international economic situations such as the US-Iran conflict on the domestic economy and financial markets, market conditions following the implementation of housing market stabilization measures, and discussed measures to prevent incomplete sales of high-risk financial products.
An IBK Industrial Bank official said, "The president's chairing of this meeting shows his determination to operate the organization stably," adding, "Currently, we are receiving reports on work status and plans by business group and formulating management plans, thus performing normal operations."

Meanwhile, as President Yoon has been unable to attend work normally for the 11th day due to union opposition and has been working from a temporary office, calls for the normalization of IBK Industrial Bank's management are growing louder. The union held a large debate the previous day to report the purpose and progress of the strike to block President Yoon's attendance to union members, but it was limited to gathering opinions, and they decided to continue the strike to block his attendance.
