Jindo-gun Focuses Administrative Efforts to Secure 513 Billion KRW in National Funding for Next Year
Meeting Held to Report on National Treasury Support Proposal Projects for Budget Securing

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it held a report meeting on January 10th for the 2021 national treasury support project to secure a national treasury budget of 513 billion KRW.
The national treasury support projects consist of a total of 35 projects worth 513 billion KRW, including the Jindo International Port Development Project. These include 5 projects under the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries worth 433.2 billion KRW, 8 projects under the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs worth 81.4 billion KRW, and 4 projects under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism worth 6.7 billion KRW.
The main projects are ▲ Jindo International Port Development ▲ Establishment of a Marine Leisure Tourism Hub ▲ Activation of the Unlim Scenic Area Tourism ▲ Jindo-gun Drainage Improvement Project, among others.
The county held working-level meetings focusing on the central government’s national finance operation plans and key government initiatives to review and discover new projects.
The projects confirmed through this report meeting will be submitted to Jeollanam-do and central government ministries, and starting from January, administrative efforts will be concentrated on visiting central government ministries to ensure maximum reflection of the projects.
Having secured a national budget of 152.5 billion KRW in 2020, Jindo-gun is making every effort to secure a total of 200 billion KRW in future national budgets.

Lee Dong-jin, the governor of Jindo-gun, stated, “We plan to focus on discovering and promoting new projects aligned with major government policies, the pledges of the 7th local government term, and the long-term project Jindo Vision 2030 for the future development of Jindo, aiming to increase residents’ income and promote community-based living SOC projects.”
