Actors Han Hyo-joo and Byeon Yo-han have completed filming for the movie The Sun Does Not Move, which is set to be released in Japan on May 15, it was confirmed on the 10th.
This film is an action movie depicting intense conflicts between industrial spy organizations. It is based on the novel of the same name by Yoshida Shuichi, who has sparked discussions in Japanese literature with works such as The Last Son, Parade, Park Life, Villain, and Yonosuke's Story.
Han Hyo-joo plays a nationality-unknown industrial spy who travels the world solving assignments. Her agency BH Entertainment stated, "Following the drama Treadstone, she once again delivered outstanding action performances." Byeon Yo-han portrays David Kim, an independent industrial spy who stops at nothing to obtain confidential information. His agency, Saram Entertainment, explained, "He performs espionage action scenes while speaking multiple languages."
The protagonist Takano Kazuhiko is played by Fujiwara Tatsuya, known domestically for films such as Death Note and Kaiji. His role involves uncovering the background of a murder case and detecting suspicious movements by the Chinese energy company CNOX. His junior and friend, Daoka Ryoichi, is played by Takeuchi Ryoma, a next-generation star who gained great popularity in Japan with the film Iron Teacher.

The Sun Does Not Move attracted attention even before production as a Hollywood blockbuster-level project in Japan. It is reported that various action scenes were completed after filming for over a month in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. The film was directed by Hasumi Eiichiro, who also directed Heart Volleyball Team (2009) and Assassination Classroom (2015). The domestic release date is yet to be determined.
