Kramp-Karrenbauer, who is also the leader of the ruling Christian Democratic Union, emphasized, "It is up to the Iranians not to further escalate tensions," adding, "This appeal is especially directed at Tehran."
She stated, "All efforts must be made to ease tensions in this phase," noting that she is in contact with the US Department of Defense and is activating all channels. She also explained that she is pushing for a meeting with 13 countries to discuss military conflicts in the Middle East region.
