Haenam-gun Traditional Hanok Branding Project Selected for 2 Consecutive Years

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Myeong Hyun-gwan) announced on the 8th that Haenam-gun Natural Story (CEO Yoon Moon-hee) was selected for the 2020 Traditional Hanok Branding Contest hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for the second consecutive year.
The traditional hanok branding project aims to develop traditional hanok as representative Korean traditional cultural experience lodging facilities and operate various themed experience programs that utilize hanok and regional characteristics, such as traditional food, crafts, and traditional games, in connection with surrounding tourist resources.
Natural Story has newly renovated traditional hanok in the Museondong Hanok Guesthouse Village in Samsan-myeon and offers cooking experience programs filled with nature and history, such as natural cuisine and food meditation, to modern people interested in healthy food.
It has attracted attention as a popular hanok experience facility visited by about 3,000 people last year.
This year, starting from March, various traditional cultural programs will be introduced, including natural cuisine using Haenam specialties, seasonal cooking experiences such as spring flower hwajeon (flower pancakes) and salad, naturally colored songpyeon (rice cakes), as well as art cooking, rubber shoe art, and pottery for youth.
In addition, experience tourism courses linked with Daheungsa Temple, Duryunsan Cable Car, and others will be operated to revitalize local tourism.
