Ha, the responsible representative, held a party leadership and youth joint meeting at the National Assembly that morning and said, "The most certain way to rebuild conservatism is reformist integration and innovative integration based on the 'Yoo Seung-min 3 Principles'."
He stated, "The New Conservative Party will create a reformist and innovative integration promotion committee, not a blind integration promotion committee," and added, "We will join hands with all forces that agree with this principle." This seems to imply that integration would be difficult if the Liberty Korea Party does not officially accept the stance.
Right after the meeting, Ha told reporters, "If there is an agreement on the integration principles, we will promote and form an innovative integration promotion committee centered on the New Conservative Party," and reiterated, "We must create an innovative integration promotion committee together with various forces that share this intention." He continued, "People who call themselves conservatives blindly merging is not grand integration," and said, "Reforming based on principles is a greater integration."
He said that Leader Hwang should publicly declare his agreement with the '3 Principles.' Regarding his meeting with Leader Hwang the day before, Ha said, "After meeting yesterday, I think Hwang needs to become a decisive leader," and criticized, "There is always internal opposition within the party. If the party cannot agree even on very common-sense matters because of fear of some opposition, will the public see it as a party of common sense?"
In response to the criticism that Leader Hwang made several remarks indicating acceptance, Ha retorted, "Then why can't he speak strongly again?" He emphasized, "We are a party where principles are important, not a party that claims vested interests," and added, "There are reports that we want to hold nomination rights, but if principles are confirmed, we will give up all nomination rights. If a neutral leadership is formed, we will also give up leadership rights."
