Gyeonggi-do to Hold SME Support Policy Briefings Across 31 Cities and Counties
[Asia Economy (Uijeongbu) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province is preparing a venue to share essential small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) support information that SMEs and small business owners in the province must know to welcome the new year of Gyeongja.
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 8th that it will hold the '2020 SME Support Policy Briefing Session' touring cities and counties within the province from the 9th of this month until the 19th of next month.
The briefing session will involve 21 related organizations, including the Gyeonggi Small and Medium Venture Business Administration, Gyeonggi Economic Science Promotion Agency, Small and Medium Business Corporation, Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation, and Small Enterprise and Market Service.
Participating organizations will provide guidance on various projects and policies to be promoted this year, such as ▲resolving corporate and technological difficulties ▲support for commercialization and startups ▲domestic and international marketing support ▲support for small business owners ▲changes in support systems in the new year.
In particular, they will focus on introducing projects promoted by the 7th Gyeonggi Province administration to establish fair competition order and economic virtuous cycles, including newly established export company funding support, special guarantees for startup re-challenges, funding support for vulnerable small business owners, Gyeonggi-type smart factory dissemination, and workplace innovation projects.
After the briefing session, the province will operate one-on-one corporate consultation booths with participation from various corporate support related organizations and distribute a guidebook compiling SME support policy information for this year.

Lee So-chun, head of the Specialized Enterprise Support Division of the province, said, "We plan to provide various corporate support information helpful to businesspeople, from funding to sales channels, exports, and research and development," adding, "We hope this briefing session will be a stepping stone for companies to take a leap forward."
