On the 7th, the Busan Gijang Police Station announced that it is conducting an investigation into civil engineering company A on charges including violation of the Waste Management Act.
According to the police and Gijang-gun, Company A is suspected of having filled a vacant lot of 1,484㎡ in Ilgwang-myeon, Gijang-gun, higher than the reported level for two years from 2015, and then buried construction waste such as waste concrete.

The landowner discovered a large amount of construction waste buried during the restoration process and reported this to Gijang-gun and the Gijang-gun Council.
At that time, Company A was known to have filled the land free of charge.
A representative from the Gijang Police Station stated, “We believe illegal waste was buried during the land filling process, and we plan to investigate the exact timing and amount of the burial.”
