Police Conduct Search and Seizure at POSCO Pohang Steelworks...Suspected Bribery Detected
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Ju Cheol-in] The police have detected allegations of bribery and conducted a search and seizure of some offices at POSCO Pohang Steelworks in Pohang, Gyeongbuk.
According to the Gyeongbuk Provincial Police Agency on the 7th, about 10 police officers belonging to the Gyeongbuk Police Agency conducted a search and seizure of computers, documents, and other items in some offices and subcontractors within the Pohang Steelworks for two hours starting around 9 a.m. that day.
They also investigated some POSCO employees on suspicion of accepting bribes.
The police are known to have detected allegations of bribery between POSCO employees and suppliers at some factories within the Pohang Steelworks.
