Seol Holiday Train Ticket Reservations Begin… Korail on 7-8, SRT on 9-10
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] In preparation for the upcoming Seollal holiday, Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) will conduct ticket reservations for two days starting from the 7th, and SR Corporation (SRT) will hold reservations for two days starting from the 9th.
According to KORAIL, tickets for the Gyeongbu, Gyeongjeon, Donghae, and Chungbuk lines can be reserved on the 7th, while tickets for the Honam, Jeolla, Gangneung, Janghang, and Jungang lines can be reserved on the 8th.
80% of the total train tickets are allocated for reservation through the Let's KORAIL website and mobile app from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. today (the 7th).
Reservations can also be made at designated stations such as Seoul, Yongsan, Cheongnyangni, and Yeongdeungpo stations, as well as authorized ticket agencies, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Tickets can be purchased up to 6 per transaction and a maximum of 12 per person, with a 4-person companion seat set counted as 4 tickets.
SRT's Seollal tickets will be sold on the 9th and 10th. The 9th is for the Gyeongbu line, and the 10th is for the Honam line. Reservation times are from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. via the SRT reservation-only website and mobile app, and from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at designated stations (Seoul, Yongsan, Yeongdeungpo, Suwon, and Gwangmyeong stations).
SRT tickets can be purchased up to 6 per transaction and a maximum of 12 per person.
An SRT official urged, "Please access the reservation-only website, which opened on the 3rd, and check the precautions in advance."
