Gwangju City to Conduct 2020 Housing Survey Starting from the 9th
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 6th that it will conduct a housing condition survey targeting 3,000 households residing in Gwangju from the 9th to the 22nd.
This housing condition survey aims to understand the housing conditions and housing welfare demands of households and will be used as basic data for establishing a customized comprehensive housing plan for 2030 according to income levels, housing types, and occupancy forms.
The sample size is 3,000 households, with 450 in Dong-gu, 600 in Seo-gu, 525 in Nam-gu, 750 in Buk-gu, and 675 in Gwangsan-gu. The survey area is divided into 200 sections, and 35 surveyors will visit the households directly to conduct the survey.
The main items include the type of housing, satisfaction with housing and convenience facilities, the environment of the surrounding area, housing cost burden, housing mobility plans, and policies needed to improve housing standards and housing stability.
The results of the housing condition survey will be announced around March when the analysis is completed.

Kim Jong-ho, head of the Architecture and Housing Division of the city, said, “Since this will serve as basic data for establishing Gwangju’s housing policy for the next 10 years, we ask for the active cooperation of the surveyed households.”
