Damyang-gun Conducts 'New Year Practical Training for Farmers'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Damyang County, Jeonnam (County Governor Choi Hyungsik) announced on the 6th that it will conduct the 'New Year Practical Education for Farmers' at the Agricultural Technology Center from the 14th of this month to the 13th of next month to produce high-quality agricultural products with competitiveness.
This education will be conducted over 22 sessions targeting 1,460 local farmers at the Agricultural Technology Center, town and township office meeting rooms, welfare centers, and other locations.
Additionally, 11 courses have been established including high-quality rice, strawberry (soil cultivation, hydroponics), tomato, blueberry technical education, responding to changes in consumer tendencies, core cultivation techniques for apple jujube, cherry, peach, grape, and value-added improvements such as Korean cattle improvement and agricultural product processing.
Lee Byungchang, Director of the Agricultural Technology Center, said, “Through the New Year Practical Education for Farmers, we hope it will be an opportunity to systematically plan the year’s farming, set concrete goals to improve farm income, and greatly enhance the market competitiveness of agricultural products.”
