Lotte Members and Hi-Mart Launch 'Kind New Semester' Campaign
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Lotte Members is conducting the 5th anniversary “Good New Semester” campaign together with Hi-Mart until the 31st of this month.
The “Good Campaign” is a customer participation shared value creation (CSV) activity that Lotte Members carries out every January with L.pay and L.POINT members and partners, having delivered a cumulative total of over 400 million KRW to underprivileged groups so far.
This year, in collaboration with Hi-Mart, laptops will be donated to children, adolescents, and college students from low-income households. The donation fund will be raised by Lotte Members contributing 3,000 KRW per transaction up to a maximum of 100 million KRW when L.POINT members accumulate and use L.POINTs while purchasing PCs, monitors, printers, and mobile products at Hi-Mart during the campaign period.
For customers of both companies, a special IT promotion for the new semester academy season will also be held during the campaign period. First, until the 16th of this month, Hi-Mart’s online mall will host the “L.POINT Super Special Time Sale,” offering popular laptop models such as the Samsung Galaxy Book Flex and Lenovo IdeaPad at special prices. Additionally, benefits such as up to 100,000 L.POINTs accumulation and up to 10% credit card billing discounts will be provided. Customers who pay with L.pay on the Hi-Mart app will receive an additional 5% of the payment amount in L.POINTs.
At Hi-Mart offline stores, the “Good New Semester IT Festival” will be held from the 17th to the 27th of this month, offering discounts on popular IT products including the Samsung Galaxy Book Flex, LG Gram, Microsoft Surface Pro 7, Nintendo Switch, and Samsung Galaxy Buds. Besides these models, various latest laptops, tablets, wireless earphones, wireless mice, and keyboards can be purchased at special prices. Customers who purchase items from the promotion will receive up to 300,000 additional L.POINTs, and when paying with the Hi-Mart Lotte partnership card, up to 5% cashback and billing discounts will also apply. Special price items are sold on a first-come, first-served basis and may end early if quantities are depleted.
Meanwhile, the L.POINT website and app are currently running the “L.pay|L.POINT Celebration Stamp Event.” Until the 31st of this month, members who accumulate L.POINTs five or more times will be entered into a draw to win prizes. The first prize winner will receive 5 million L.POINTs (1 person), and the second and third prize winners will receive 50,000 L.POINTs (50 people) and 5,000 L.POINTs (500 people), respectively. Winners will be announced on the 20th of next month through the L.POINT app and website.
