Seoul City Received 139,000 'Safety Reports' Last Year... Awards for Outstanding Cases
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Among the cases received through the 'Safety Report Reward System' operated by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, 778 cases were selected as excellent cases.
According to the city on the 5th, a total of 139,114 reports were submitted last year through the Safety Report, Seoul Smart Discomfort Report application, and Seoul City Response Center.
Among the total reports, illegal parking accounted for 58,212 cases, making up 42% of the total, and there were also many cases of road, sidewalk block, and facility damage.

The received reports and suggestions were reviewed through preliminary screening by the city and autonomous districts and then decided through evaluation by safety experts. There were 43 excellent cases (200,000 KRW) and 735 encouragement cases (30,000 KRW). Damage to pedestrian overpass facilities and malfunctioning traffic lights were selected as excellent cases.
