IU to Star in Director Lee Byung-hun's Film 'Dream'
Megabox Joongang Plus M announced on the 3rd that singer and actress IU (Lee Ji-eun) will star in director Lee Byung-hun's new film "Dream (working title)." The film deals with soccer player Hong Dae (Park Seo-joon), who is facing the biggest crisis of his career, and the World Cup challenge of national team players who are handling the ball for the first time in their lives. IU plays Lee So-min, a broadcasting station producer. She is a character who documents the makeshift national soccer team led by Hong Dae. IU began her acting career in 2011 with the drama "Dream High." Since then, she has expanded her acting range through dramas such as "Producer," "My Mister," and "Hotel Del Luna." She also appeared in the Netflix film "Persona," playing four different characters. The new project "Dream" will begin filming this year.
