Prosecutors Conduct Search and Seizure at Ulsan City Hall Over Alleged Cheongwadae Election Interference (Update 2)
[Asia Economy Reporter Seongpil Cho] The Public Investigation Division 2 of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Tae-eun Kim), which is investigating allegations of the Blue House's interference in the Ulsan mayoral election, announced on the 4th that it is conducting a search and seizure at Ulsan City Hall.
The search and seizure began around 10 a.m. that day. It is reported that about 10 investigators were dispatched to carry out the operation. A prosecution official stated, "We executed the search warrant in relation to the election interference allegations and complaints," adding, "The search and seizure will continue until late afternoon."

The prosecution is reportedly focusing on departments responsible for discussing campaign promises with Ulsan Mayor Song Cheol-ho, Ulsan Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs Song Byung-gi, and Political Affairs Special Advisor Jeong, who met with former Blue House Chief of Staff Im Jong-seok. These include the Political Affairs Office, General Affairs Division, and Public Transportation Division. The mayor's office was excluded from the search targets.
