[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yang Hee-jung] Dong-A University’s Student and Employment Support Office (Director Choi Kyu-hwan) announced on the 2nd that the employment special lectures and special counseling sessions conducted by visiting each department received great responses.
Over the past three months, the Dong-A University Employment Support Office held more than 40 sessions of “Visiting Department Employment Special Lectures” targeting 2nd and 3rd-year students and faculty members from various departments including the College of Humanities, College of Business Administration, College of Natural Sciences, College of Engineering, College of Design and Environment, and Seokdang Talent Division.
In the department employment special lectures, staff members of the Dong-A University Employment Support Office, who adopted the motto “BTS” meaning “Better Than Students,” served as instructors and provided customized information such as employment fields by department and job-specific employment preparation methods.
As the visiting department employment special lectures received positive feedback from students due to valuable content such as how to write self-introduction letters tailored to supporting companies and job types and case analyses, requests for special lectures from various colleges and department professors reportedly surged.
The Employment Support Office also visited meetings of department heads, starting with the College of Engineering, and met with department heads and employment guidance professors of the College of Humanities to discuss strategies for increasing employment rates by department within the College of Humanities and the development and support of specialized employment support programs for humanities job seekers.
Additionally, special counseling sessions were conducted for the College of Business Administration and the College of Arts and Physical Education, providing tailored information.
Lee In-yong, team leader of the Employment Support Office, said, “Dong-A University’s Employment Support Office actively operates school-level employment camps and employment clubs, runs the online employment and start-up mentoring site ‘DA-ITDA,’ supports overseas employment projects, and also actively carries out support projects for individual colleges. We hope that each department will take an active interest in students’ employment to achieve good results.”
