Two Thai Workers Arrested for Knife Rampage at Daegu Industrial Complex
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Sung-yeol] Two Thai nationals who stabbed a fellow countryman worker with a weapon at a factory cafeteria were arrested by the police.
On the 2nd, Daegu Dalseong Police Station announced that they arrested two Thai nationals, including A (37), on suspicion of attempted murder for stabbing a fellow countryman worker at the same factory.
Earlier, on the 1st at around 9:35 PM, they are suspected of stabbing B (27), a fellow countryman, with a weapon at a restaurant in Nongong-eup, Dalseong-gun, Daegu, and fleeing the scene.
B was stabbed multiple times in the face and chest, sustaining serious injuries, and was found collapsed on the street by a passerby. Following the passerby's report, B was transported to a nearby university hospital and is currently reported to be out of life-threatening danger.
They are workers from Thailand who usually work at the same factory, and it was investigated that there had been disputes over work-related issues.
