"I Forgot in a Hurry": What Are the Most Frequently Lost Items Left Behind on the Subway?

The number of lost items reported on the Seoul subway exceeded 160,000 last year, averaging about 460 cases per day.

Wallets, clothing, and bags were the main items lost, and the total value of cash among the lost items was also estimated to reach several hundred million won.

On March 25, Seoul Metro Authority released the following analysis of its 2025 subway lost item statistics.

The stations with the highest number of lost items reported last year were Banghwa Station (8,943 cases), Yangcheon-gu Office Station (6,121 cases), Bonghwasan Station (4,724 cases), Ogeum Station (3,932 cases), and Bulamsan Station (3,637 cases).
