Shinsegae International's lifestyle brand JAJU announced on November 3 that sales of winter items such as heating fashion and heated bedding products surged since mid-October, following a sudden drop in temperatures.
From October 17 to 31, sales of the 'Jaju Heating' series increased by 391% compared to the same period last year. This was also a significant 122% jump from the previous 15 days (October 2 to 16). By category, sales of Jaju Heating fashion items rose by 490%, while bedding sales grew by 204% year-on-year.

Typically, demand for heating functional products increases in early November, when the temperature difference between day and night becomes more pronounced. However, this year, an early cold snap that began in mid-October led to a surge in sales more than ten days earlier than usual.
The best-selling product during this period was the 'Thermal Sensation Pajama Set,' which was launched this year with added heating functionality. This set uses dralon yarn, which excels in moisture absorption and heat generation, to help prevent a drop in body temperature during sleep.
The product with the largest sales increase during the same period was the 'Thermal Sensation Comforter,' with sales rising 204% compared to the same period last year. It was released in two styles: the 'Thermal Sensation Wool Cotton Comforter,' filled with French wool, and the 'Thermal Sensation Microfiber Comforter,' which uses thermal fiber batting that provides about 1.8 times greater warmth than regular comforters.

Fashion items such as heated innerwear also sold rapidly. During this period, the women's U-neck bra camisole, the soft ribbed long-sleeve T-shirt, and the soft ribbed turtleneck T-shirt all recorded high sales.
A representative from Shinsegae International's JAJU said, "Sales of heating functional products have increased noticeably due to the sudden cold weather," adding, "As heating items have become essential for modern people during winter, we have developed them to be healthier and more comfortable to wear and use."
