Seongsimdang, the iconic bakery representing Daejeon, will close all of its stores, including the main branch, for one day on November 3.
Seongsimdang recently announced its plan for a one-day closure by posting an urgent notice on its official social media channel, Instagram, stating, "Breaking news. All Seongsimdang stores will be closed for one day only, on Monday, November 3, for our One Family Sports Day."
All stores to close for one day for company-wide family sports event
Every year, Seongsimdang holds a 'One Family Sports Day' (company-wide athletic meet) in which all executives and employees participate. During this period, all stores, including the main branch, are closed simultaneously. Last year, the event was held on October 14, resulting in a one-day closure of all stores.
This year's sports day will see participation from about 1,000 executives and employees from 12 affiliated companies, including the Seongsimdang main store, Seongsimdang Cake Boutique, Piatto (Italian restaurant), Udongya (udon specialty restaurant), Flying Pan, Terrace Kitchen, and Oven Story.
Held once a year... About 1,000 executives and employees to participate again this year
