Samsung Expands Partnership with Dutch Energy Supplier Coolblue Energy
Samsung Electronics’ laundry appliances in the Netherlands will receive free electricity during hours when renewable energy production is high.
According to industry sources on September 19, Samsung Electronics expanded its partnership with Dutch energy supplier Coolblue Energy on September 17 (local time), offering free electricity for the use of Samsung Electronics’ laundry appliances.
Free Electricity for Laundry Appliances from 12 PM to 3 PM... Distributing Excessive Power Demand
With this agreement, the two companies have decided to extend the electricity fee waiver, which was first applied to Samsung washing machines in June, to now include dryers and all-in-one washer dryers. Households supplied with electricity by Coolblue Energy will pay zero electricity fees when using Samsung Electronics washing machines, dryers, or all-in-one washer dryers from 12 PM to 3 PM. The electricity consumed during these hours is automatically deducted from the energy provider’s invoice, so users can benefit from free electricity without any additional application process.

Users can maximize these benefits by connecting with Samsung Electronics’ AI home platform, SmartThings. By scheduling appliance operation times through SmartThings, users can remotely run their appliances even when they are not at home.
