Naver Webtoon will adapt iconic works from the Walt Disney Company-including Disney, Marvel, and Star Wars-into webtoons.
Webtoon Entertainment, the US headquarters of Naver Webtoon, announced on the 13th that it has signed a global content partnership with The Walt Disney Company (Disney).

Through this collaboration, major titles from Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, and 20th Century Studios will be reimagined as vertically scrolling webtoons. The two companies plan to sequentially release approximately 100 series via a newly established Disney section within the English-language app of Naver Webtoon's global platform, WEBTOON.
In addition to adaptations of existing works in webtoon format, new original webtoon series from Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, and 20th Century Studios will also be produced. These new original series will span a variety of genres, ranging from superhero action to space-themed adventures.
The first five titles to be available in the Disney section will be: The Amazing Spider-Man (2022-present), Avengers (2012), Star Wars (2015), Alien (2021), and A Very Old Story.
Kim Yongsoo, Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and Head of Global Webtoon Business at Naver Webtoon, stated, "We are thrilled to present legendary and iconic works from Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, and 20th Century Studios in a webtoon format optimized for the mobile generation.
