Recently, reports have emerged that nearly 300 earthquakes have occurred in Japan. These earthquakes began in the small island region of the Tokara Islands, with several tremors of magnitude 4 or higher being detected multiple times, and the number of occurrences continues to increase day by day.

A village office in Kagoshima Prefecture has switched to an emergency response system and is continuing its operations even at night, while residents are evacuating to community centers. However, what people are even more anxious about is not just the earthquakes themselves.

Recently, the story of a 'Great Earthquake in July 2025' has resurfaced on online and Japanese communities. Behind this is the prophetic manga .
The previously out-of-print book 'The Future I Saw' was republished in 2021 in a revised edition due to its popularity.
Recently, the story of a 'Great Earthquake in July 2025' has resurfaced on online and Japanese communities. Behind this is the prophetic manga .
Manga artist Ryo Tatsuki drew a comic based on a dream he had, and the day before the deadline for the book cover, he incorporated the phrase 'The great disaster will be in March 2011' from his dream into the cover and submitted it.
At that time, 2011 was ten years ahead, and he persuaded the publisher that people would forget about it by then, so the book was published with that phrase included.
Then, in March 2011, the Great East Japan Earthquake actually occurred, and netizens began to pay attention to this book as if it were a prophecy.
The previously out-of-print book 'The Future I Saw' was republished in 2021 in a revised edition due to its popularity.
At that time, Ryo Datsuki had another dream before the re-release. Just like in 1999, he saw black letters on something like a movie screen saying, 'The real great disaster will come in July 2025.'
This time, he dreamed of the seabed rising, so the memo was updated on the book band before publication. The prophetic dream was about the seabed erupting between Japan and the Philippines and a tsunami hitting Japan.

In fact, the Japanese government has also expressed concern. According to a report released in March, there is an estimated 80% probability that a massive earthquake with a magnitude of 8 to 9 could occur in the Nankai Trough within the next 30 years. The report predicts that up to 298,000 people could die and 12.3 million could become displaced. It is also estimated that 2.35 million buildings could collapse and the number of injured could reach 900,000.

The government is reorganizing its disaster prevention system in response, but among people who were planning to travel to Japan, anxiety is spreading about whether it is safe to visit now. Meanwhile, some experts have also expressed concern that such a large-scale earthquake could eventually affect the Korean Peninsula as well.
