During Korea's golden holiday period, Japan's "Golden Week" (a holiday season stretching from late April to early May) and China's "Labor Day" holiday (May 1-5) also take place, pushing booking rates at other popular hotels to around 90%. Industry sources note that when more than 90% of total rooms are filled?taking into account maintenance, repairs, and contingencies?this is considered a special peak period.

In Busan, The Westin Josun Busan and Grand Josun Busan, as well as Grand Josun Jeju, have reached booking rates of 90% and 80%, respectively.
At the Grand Hyatt Jeju within the Jeju Dream Tower Complex Resort, operated by Lotte Tour Development, the maximum number of room reservations per day during the holiday reaches 1,454 out of a total of 1,600 rooms?about 91% occupancy. The representative added, "Currently, the lowest available room rate during the holiday period starts in the 700,000 won range."
Lotte Hotel Jeju is also seeing an average daily booking rate of 88% to a maximum of 95% from May 1 to May 5. City hotels in Seoul operated by Lotte Hotels & Resorts, such as Seoul City Hotel and L7, are also fully booked during the holiday. In addition, Kensington Hotel Yeouido, operated by E-Land Park, is expected to have all 228 rooms fully booked during the holiday. Resorts in Gangwon and Jeju?such as Kensington Hotel Pyeongchang and Seorak, Kensington Resort Seorak Valley and Seorak Beach, and Kensington Resort Jeju Jungmun and Seogwipo?are also reporting an average reservation rate of 95%. An E-Land Park representative commented, "The proportion of foreign guests at Seorak accommodations has increased by 30% compared to last year."
Large hotels near Incheon International Airport, the main gateway for foreign visitors entering Korea, are also expected to benefit from the holiday boom. Paradise City in Yeongjongdo, Incheon, has filled over 90% of all rooms, including 711 hotel rooms and 58 luxury boutique hotel 'Art Paradiso' rooms. A Paradise representative said, "Traditionally, the proportion of Japanese guests has been high, and we expect many Japanese tourists, especially those visiting the casino, during this holiday period as well." Inspire Entertainment Resort, also located in Yeongjongdo, has reached a 95% booking rate for the holiday period.
An industry official stated, "In May, which is considered Family Month in Korea, domestic demand is usually much higher, but the proportion of foreign visitors continues to rise." The official added, "We also expect an increase in visitors to duty-free shops operated by some hotels, in addition to room bookings."
