2 Million Units Sold in 68 Days Since Launch... Outpacing Dubai Chocolate by a Week

Convenience store GS25 announced on the 4th that its 'Sweet Mix Jelly,' launched last November, surpassed 2 million units in cumulative sales just 68 days after its release. This is more than a week faster than the record previously set by Dubai Chocolate.

Sweet Mix Jelly is a jelly product planned and introduced by GS25 on November 28 last year, inspired by Swedish jelly style. Swedish jelly is made from natural ingredients and plant-based gelatin, reflecting the trend among consumers who seek healthy and ethical consumption.

Sweet Mix Jelly by GS25 broke the record for fastest sales among jelly and chocolate products, reaching 1 million units sold in just 39 days. An additional 1 million units were sold by January 29, bringing the cumulative sales to 2 million units?just 68 days after its launch.

Number One in Total Processed Food Sales... Even Surpassed Buldak Bokkeum Myeon

Sweet Mix Jelly not only topped the jelly category but also ranked first in total processed food sales. The processed food category includes best-selling convenience store items such as ramen, snacks, and instant foods.

This is the first time a jelly product has surpassed mega-hit items like Shin Ramyeon and Buldak Bokkeum Myeon in sales to become the top-selling product.

GS25 expects the sales gap to widen even further as special seasons for jelly and chocolate, such as Valentine's Day and White Day, approach in earnest.

Sweet Mix Jelly Sequel Launch... Collaboration with Creator Jeon Unni

Going forward, GS25 plans to maximize sales by launching the second edition of Sweet Mix Jelly. The new product, released on the 4th, is a collaboration with creator Jeon Unni, who sparked the Swedish jelly craze in Korea. With news of the collaboration spreading, pre-release purchase inquiries have been pouring in, and GS25 expects the second edition of 'Sweet Mix Jelly' to surpass the popularity of the first.

Lee Jinwoo, GS25's processed food MD, said, "Unlike the recent consumer trend where hit products peak and then quickly decline due to shorter product life cycles, Sweet Mix Jelly continues to set new sales records, showing exceptional sales data. Building on this success, we plan to sequentially introduce a differentiated lineup of jellies, candies, and chocolates that have been hard to find in Korea throughout this year."
