Hyundai Motor Company has announced the pricing for its large electric sport utility vehicle (SUV), the Ioniq 9, and will begin accepting pre-orders starting from the 3rd.

The Ioniq 9 is the flagship model of the Ioniq electric vehicle brand. Based on Hyundai Motor Group’s dedicated electric vehicle platform, E-GMP, it maximizes interior space with the longest wheelbase in its class and is equipped with a 110.3 kWh battery, allowing all models to achieve a driving range of over 500 km on a single charge. The maximum certified driving range per charge in Korea is 532 km.

The Ioniq 9 is priced at 67.15 million KRW for the 7-seater Exclusive, 73.15 million KRW for the Prestige, and 77.92 million KRW for the Calligraphy. The 6-seater models are priced at 69.03 million KRW for the Exclusive, 74.64 million KRW for the Prestige, and 79.41 million KRW for the Calligraphy. (Prices include tax benefits.)

With government subsidies for electric vehicle purchases, the actual purchase price is expected to be even lower. Depending on the region, the basic 7-seater trim can be purchased starting from the mid-60 million KRW range.

The front and lamp design of the Ioniq 9 features the parametric pixel, a key design element of the dedicated electric Ioniq lineup. The side profile of the vehicle is designed with a sleek, curved roofline, providing ample headroom for all passengers from the front to the rear seats.

The vehicle interior secures ample space by creating a long wheelbase and a flat floor extended to the third row. The Ioniq 9 features a length of 5060 mm, a wheelbase of 3130 mm, a width of 1980 mm, and a height of 1790 mm, providing a spacious interior with the largest headroom and legroom in the second and third rows within its class. Hyundai offers a total of four different seat configurations for the Ioniq 9, including three types of 6-seat arrangements and one 7-seat arrangement.

The Ioniq 9 is equipped with a 110.3 kWh battery, enabling a maximum driving range of 532 km on a single charge (based on 19-inch wheels, 2WD). The Ioniq 9 comes in both long-range and performance models, with all variants achieving a single-charge range of over 500 km. Additionally, Hyundai has equipped the Ioniq 9 with a 400/800V multi ultra-fast charging system, allowing the battery to be charged from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes using a 350 kW charger.

The Ioniq 9 supports over-the-air software updates for various areas including navigation map data and vehicle control, ensuring the vehicle is always up to date.

Hyundai has equipped the Ioniq 9 with the next-generation infotainment system, ccNC (connected car Navigation Cockpit), making it easy to access and operate EV-related information and features. In addition, the Hyundai AI Assistant, which incorporates generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology, enables two-way communication between the vehicle and the customer by providing information on destinations, vehicle usage, general knowledge, and more through natural language interaction.

A Hyundai official stated, "We expect the Ioniq 9, the flagship model of the electrified Ioniq brand, to deliver a new electrification experience that turns possibility into reality," adding, "With best-in-class driving range, advanced safety and convenience features, and a differentiated experience, we hope for your great interest in the Ioniq 9."
