Offering Family Science Performances... National Busan Science Museum Presents Investigation Drama and AI Magic Shows
Family Month, Interactive Programs
The National Busan Science Museum is offering family-friendly science performances in celebration of Family Month.
The National Busan Science Museum (Director Song Samjong) announced on May 7 that it will be running two science performance programs.
The programs consist of "Science CSI: The Elephant Toothpaste Incident," which will run from May 10 to August 23, and a special one-day performance, "Magician Newt's AI Space Science," taking place on May 23.
"Science CSI: The Elephant Toothpaste Incident" is a participatory performance in which visitors help solve incidents that occur at a science experiment site. Audience members work alongside science investigators, tracking clues and experiencing scientific principles firsthand.
The show features scientific investigation elements such as thermal infrared cameras, fingerprint collection, and footprint analysis to help unravel the case. Each performance lasts approximately 20 minutes and will be offered free of charge three times every Sunday until August 23.
"Magician Newt's AI Space Science," held on May 23, combines artificial intelligence and space science in a performance format. The main character, Newt, and his AI assistant, Janice, embark on a storytelling journey to find a second Earth.
An interactive component is also included. The program will feature "AI Deep Learning Magic," where AI creates images based on keywords provided by the audience, along with a levitation performance to represent zero gravity. The show will be held twice on the day, and tickets can be reserved through the online ticket office.
