View original imageThis inspection will involve members of the Gyeonggi Province Railway Technology Advisory Committee, underground safety guardians, technical support engineers, and construction supervisors. Gyeonggi Province has formed a joint inspection team composed mainly of experts in construction, geotechnical engineering, quality, structural engineering, and tunneling, taking into account the progress and risk factors specific to each site.
The main inspection items include the operation of the safety management organization, the preparation and management of safety management plans, flood prevention measures for areas vulnerable to heavy rainfall, and the installation status of electrical facilities that may be at risk of flooding or electric shock during the rainy season. The team will also check the management of temporary structures, stored materials, and attachments in preparation for strong winds, as well as inspect for ground and excavation collapses and erosion of excavation slopes.

Park Youngshin, Director of Railway Construction at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "Railway construction sites during the rainy season are exposed to multiple risk factors occurring simultaneously, so advance inspections and prompt supplementary measures are crucial." He added, "Through joint inspections with experts, we will proactively eliminate potential causes of accidents and do our utmost to manage railway construction sites so that residents can feel safe."
