Korea Industrial Complex Corporation to Launch 'Work-Life Balance Consulting' for Companies in Industrial Complexes
Collaboration with KIBA and the Korean Standards Association
Supporting the "Happy Workplace in Industrial Complexes" Project in Four Major Industrial Complexes
The Korea Industrial Complex Corporation announced on May 13 that it will collaborate with the Korea Industrial Complex Business Association (KIBA) and the Korean Standards Association to provide tailored consulting and educational support aimed at establishing work-life balance systems for companies located in industrial complexes.
This initiative, which is part of the Ministry of Employment and Labor's "Happy Workplace in Industrial Complexes Project," is a field-oriented support program designed to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in industrial complexes smoothly adopt work-life balance policies, such as parental leave, flexible working arrangements, and substitute workforce support.
Currently, the program is recruiting participating companies among SMEs located in Seoul Digital, Banwol-Sihwa, Gumi, Gwangju Advanced, and Bitgreen National Industrial Complexes. For participating companies, the program will conduct a comprehensive analysis of their workforce management environment and the extent to which they utilize such systems, followed by customized consulting and advisory services based on these findings.
This consulting goes beyond simply introducing relevant policies, focusing instead on actionable support tailored to the characteristics of manufacturing-focused SMEs within industrial complexes. In particular, the program will also support the adoption of flexible working systems, utilization of maternity protection policies, and connections to government support schemes such as employment incentives. Moving forward, implementation progress will be continuously monitored, and examples of companies that achieve outstanding results will be shared throughout the industrial complexes.
Choi Cheol-ho, Chairman of KIBA, stated, "As demand for work-life balance increases on the ground at SMEs, we will actively leverage our field network to identify participating companies," adding, "We will strive to foster an environment where both companies and workers in industrial complexes can grow together."
