Kyowon Red Pen Targets Early Childhood Educational Kit Market with Launch of "Let's Co!"
Exclusive Launch of Global STEAM Kits
On April 29, Kyowon Red Pen announced the official launch of its STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) home-visit class "Let's Co!", marking its full-scale entry into the early childhood educational kit market with a program specialized in expanding creative and convergent thinking skills.
"Let's Co!" features the exclusive domestic introduction of the global educational kit brand "KiwiCo's" STEAM kits, and includes theme-linked books and one-on-one home-visit classes with professional instructors. It offers a differentiated curriculum that goes beyond simple kit activities to awaken children's latent cognitive abilities from multiple perspectives. The recommended age range is 2 to 4 years old.
The product package consists of 24 types of educational kits, 24 books, 48 playbooks, and 48 home-visit classes, forming a 12-month program. The kits are evenly designed with STEAM elements, integrating science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Kyowon Red Pen explained that the effectiveness of this kit has been validated through research collaborations with Seattle Children's Hospital and Johns Hopkins University in the United States.
The books are Kyowon Red Pen publications designed for STEAM-based, theme-linked, extended activities. With a variety of interactive books, such as split books and flap books, children can enjoy reading as a play activity. In addition, the set provides playbooks (workbooks) that include STEAM activities like observing changes, using tools, designing paths, and unplugged coding elements.
The one-on-one home-visit class, conducted once a week for 30 minutes, is taught by an instructor specializing in early childhood development. Each session begins with physical activities appropriate for the child's age, followed by reading together, developing problem-solving skills using the kits, and completing activities that expand on learned concepts through the playbook (workbook). After each class, a lesson journal and growth report are provided, offering data-based analyses of the child's interests by domain and experience in standard developmental areas.
