This initiative helps them understand the value of the islands and local resources. In particular, young public officials are actively participating and sharing their on-site activities and the unique attractions of each island through social media, thereby contributing to the promotion of the 2026 Yeosu World Island Expo.
The program is being conducted in locations such as Hwajeong-myeon (Gaedo, Nangdo, Hwahado), Samsan-myeon’s Geomundo, and Nam-myeon’s Geumodo. Participating employees are also working to create a cleaner environment on the islands by engaging in volunteer activities such as collecting litter along the coastlines and near tourist sites, as well as participating in environmental cleanup efforts.
