'Rose and Spring in Full Bloom': Suncheon Pungdeokdong to Host Rose Festival
Suncheon City in South Jeolla Province announced that the "5th Pungdeokdong Rose Festival" will be held in the Jangmi Tunnel area of Pungdeokdong on Saturday, May 16.
This year's festival, themed "Love Rose Festa: The Moment Love Blossoms," will feature a variety of programs running from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

View original imageDuring the day, visitors can stroll among the brightly blooming roses and fully enjoy the atmosphere of spring. At night, subtle lighting and special DJ performances will create a romantic ambiance within the nighttime scenery.
In particular, this year’s festival will center around a sensory rose tunnel, featuring a stamp tour, as well as unique experience programs such as the Rose Docent, Rose-tinted Life Counseling Booth, and Rose Bar, all reflecting the distinct character of Pungdeokdong and the charm of roses. These experiences aim to offer visitors something truly special.
Additionally, a flea market and various hands-on booths will be operated, and a range of food stalls will allow visitors to enjoy delicious treats while enhancing the festive experience. In celebration of Family Month in May, a variety of family-participation programs have also been prepared to bring additional energy and excitement to the festival.
