Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance announced on May 11 that it unveiled its proprietary real-time anomaly detection system, "AIMS," at the "2026 International Electric Power Exhibition" held over three days from May 6 to 8 at COEX in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

During the exhibition, it received high praise from industry experts for its differentiated technology and services.
The system's key differentiator is its "valid ground leakage (IGR) detection technology." To overcome the limitations of traditional clamp-type portable measuring devices, which had a high false alarm rate, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance applied, for the first time in Korea, a method of attaching a detection device to the neutral grounding wire of a three-phase transformer. This approach increases leakage detection accuracy to over 90% and enables precise isolation of only the valid ground leakage components that could potentially lead to actual fires.
In addition, AIMS establishes an integrated management environment that not only analyzes power quality but also monitors fire alarm panels, emergency generators, drainage pumps, and more in real time, 24 hours a day. This proactive monitoring helps prevent facility accidents, large-scale fires, and electric shock incidents before they occur.
Clients who adopt AIMS are provided with expert group safety consulting and preventive activities. Through this, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance aims to minimize the risk of business interruption caused by unexpected accidents and contribute to ensuring the continuity of its client companies' operations.
During the exhibition, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance promoted its technological capabilities by operating a joint booth with Korea Electrical Safety Service, with whom it signed a business agreement. Both companies acknowledged the growing risks of electrical accidents amid the increasing advancement, scale, and automation of industrial sites and agreed to collaborate on building a more sophisticated prevention system.
