Kim Daeheon, President of Planning at Hoban Group, visited Europe to inspect Taihan Cable’s local business operations and discuss ways to expand cooperation with global renewable energy companies.
According to Hoban Group on the 21st, President Kim began a week-long visit to Denmark and the Netherlands on May 16, where he met with executives from global energy companies and visited Taihan Cable’s Europe headquarters to review local market strategies.

View original imageThis on-site management initiative was undertaken to enhance Taihan Cable’s business competitiveness in the European market and strengthen its ability to respond to changes in the global energy industry. In response to the ongoing energy transition era, Hoban Group is focusing its capabilities on advancing into the global power infrastructure market together with Taihan Cable.
In Copenhagen, Denmark, President Kim met with executives of global renewable energy development companies to discuss cooperation. He shared updates on the construction of Taihan Cable’s second submarine cable plant in Dangjin, scheduled for completion in 2027, as well as the progress of the high-voltage direct current (HVDC) submarine cable business.
He also attended a power infrastructure industry event hosted by a global partner company, where he introduced Hoban Group’s future business direction and Taihan Cable’s technological capabilities to representatives of energy infrastructure developers and investors. Subsequently, he visited Amstelveen, Netherlands, where Taihan Cable’s Europe headquarters is located, to examine market strategies focused on high-value-added products such as submarine cables, HVDC, and aging power grid replacement solutions, all of which are seeing rising demand in the European market.
Taihan Cable has been continuously strengthening its local business foundation to expand its presence in the European market. In 2017, the company established a branch in the United Kingdom and deployed specialized personnel, and in 2019, it reorganized into a Europe headquarters system, launching a Dutch subsidiary to pursue a full-fledged localization strategy.
