Korea Creative Content Agency and Netflix to Launch 'OTT Production Talent Training' Program
Over 1,100 Trainees to Receive Education Starting in June
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency announced on May 21, 2026, that, together with Netflix, they will launch an online video service (OTT) Production Academy starting next month.
This program, which began in 2024, is a training initiative for professionals in broadcast and video production. Domestic and international instructors, including experts from Netflix series and films, provide field-oriented education. Over the past two years, the program has trained more than 2,300 individuals. This year, the goal is to train around 1,100 people through education tailored to the characteristics of each production stage.
The first training session, “End-to-End Color Management,” will take place over two days starting June 4. It will cover the entire process of color management, from on-set shooting to final color grading and integration of visual effects (VFX). Experts who participated in Netflix projects will share production standards and practical know-how based on their project experience. The entire color management workflow will also be demonstrated directly.
There will also be an “OTT Series Planning Bootcamp” and other planning courses aimed at enhancing OTT content planning and storytelling capabilities. The courses will help participants understand content planning and production environments from the perspective of international creators.
From July, specialized training sessions by field will follow: Sound editing and management techniques (July), producer and post-supervisor collaboration and budgeting case studies (August), VFX and virtual production processes (September), subtitle and dubbing competency enhancement (October), and music production (November). In November, there will also be a networking event for trainees and industry professionals.
