This month, consultations focused especially on legal and labor affairs, which have recently attracted the most attention and inquiries from companies. The main consultation topics were issues that small and medium-sized enterprises find difficult to solve on their own, such as complex legal disputes, stringent labor standards laws, and personnel management.
On this day, Legal Expert Lee Hyunggu and Labor Consultant Shin Yongsun participated in the consultation room and provided practical solutions tailored to each company's situation. A representative from one of the participating member companies commented, "I often felt frustrated because I did not fully understand the changing labor regulations, but it was beneficial to resolve my concerns in a timely manner through an expert."
The Jeonju Chamber of Commerce and Industry operates an expert advisory group in seven specialized fields to provide more systematic support for the management challenges faced by companies. These include the legal field, which offers counsel on legal matters and litigation; the labor field, which provides guidance on the Labor Standards Act and personnel and labor management; the tax field, which addresses concerns related to tax accounting and taxes; as well as areas such as patents, customs, and management consulting.
The Jeonju Chamber has consistently played a bridging role by uncovering longstanding regulations and on-site difficulties faced by local small and medium-sized enterprises and submitting recommendations to the government and local authorities. In particular, at the most recent expert consultation event, many companies attended sessions in the tax and accounting field, achieving tangible cost reduction effects. This has led the program to be recognized among local businesspeople as an effective and practical initiative.
