Gokseong County Moves Up Application Period for Next Year's Organic Fertilizer Support Program
Applications Accepted from June 1 to July 15
Partial Subsidies for Five Types of Organic Fertilizers, Including Mixed Organic Fertilizer
Early Completion of Administrative Procedures for Prompt Supply
Gokseong County in South Jeolla Province will begin accepting applications for the "2027 Organic Fertilizer Support Program" starting in June, with the aim of preserving soil quality and improving farming convenience. Notably, the application period has been moved up significantly this year due to revised implementation guidelines, so farmers are urged to pay close attention and double-check the details.
According to Gokseong County on May 20, applications for the "2027 Organic Fertilizer Support Program," which promotes the recycling of agro-livestock byproducts and soil conservation, will open in June.
The Organic Fertilizer Support Program provides partial subsidies for the purchase of three types of organic fertilizers (mixed organic fertilizer, organic compound fertilizer, and mixed oilcake) and two types of matured organic fertilizers (livestock manure compost and compost), aiming to help reduce production costs for farmers and lay the foundation for eco-friendly agriculture.
Starting this year, the overall schedule for the program, including the application period, has been significantly adjusted in accordance with the revised implementation guidelines. Previously, applications were accepted from November to December of the year prior to the project. However, beginning with the 2027 program, the county has moved the application window forward to June and July to expedite administrative procedures and ensure early fertilizer supply to farmers at the beginning of the year.
The application period for the 2027 Organic Fertilizer Support Program will run from June 1 to July 15.
For online applications, submissions can be made via the "Nongup e-ji" website from June 1 to June 10, a 10-day period. From June 11 to June 15, applications will be reviewed and any necessary corrections or adjustments will be made before finalizing the support recipients.
For in-person applications, submissions will be accepted for 30 days from June 11 to July 10. Applicants should visit the industrial team at the township or town office responsible for the location of their farmland to submit their forms.
