In particular, in line with the trend in the Chinese market where demand for low-noise tires is rapidly increasing due to the spread of electric vehicles, Nexen Tire introduced low-noise tires with sound-absorbing materials in the N’FERA Sport, N’FERA Primus QX, and ROADIAN GTX lines. These were displayed alongside standard tires, allowing visitors to directly compare and experience the product technology.
Nexen Tire operates production bases in Changnyeong and Yangsan in Korea, as well as in the Czech Republic in Europe and Qingdao in China, establishing a global production system. With the strategic importance of the local tire market rising due to the expansion of Chinese automakers’ global exports and the growth of the electric vehicle market, Nexen Tire is strengthening its local distribution network and partnerships with automakers, centering on its Qingdao production base. The participation in this exhibition was also aimed at finding new clients and enhancing brand awareness.
In January this year, Nexen Tire began supplying original tires for Hyundai Motor's China-focused electric vehicle "Elecsio" and has steadily expanded cooperation with local brands such as Leapmotor and VGV. In addition, the company is accelerating its approach to the Chinese market by reinforcing its sales network through collaboration with local distributors such as TUHU.
A Nexen Tire representative stated, "Shandong Province, where Guangrao is located, accounts for one-third of China’s total tire production and is a key hub of the global tire industry. Moving forward, we will continue to expand partnerships with automakers and our distribution network based on our Qingdao production base, and accelerate our efforts to capture the Chinese market with high-performance products."
