Damyang Self-Sufficiency Center Selected for Project Funding... Expanding Specialized Cleaning and Laundry Equipment
Securing Approximately 48 Million Won in Project Funding
Full-Scale Push to Transition Good Clean Business Unit into a Self-Sufficiency Enterprise
The Damyang Community Self-Sufficiency Center has been selected for the Central Self-Sufficiency Fund Consignment Project, securing approximately 48 million won in project funding. With these newly secured funds, the center plans to expand its specialized cleaning and laundry equipment, further strengthening the transition of its affiliated business units into self-sufficiency enterprises and enhancing the foundation for job self-reliance among low-income residents.
On May 19, the Damyang Community Self-Sufficiency Center announced that it had been selected as the final recipient of the "Workplace Environment Improvement Support Project," which is part of the 2026 Central Self-Sufficiency Fund Consignment Projects promoted by the Korea Self-Sufficiency Welfare Development Institute and the Jeonnam Regional Self-Sufficiency Center.

Currently, the Good Clean Business Unit provides comprehensive cleaning, move-in cleaning, disinfection, air conditioner sterilization, and other professional environmental hygiene services to local schools, public institutions, and more.
The Damyang Community Self-Sufficiency Center plans to actively pursue the transition of the Good Clean Business Unit into a self-sufficiency enterprise through this project.
To this end, the center will significantly enhance the participants' job expertise and field competitiveness by providing high-performance equipment operation training, on-site safety management education, and entrepreneurship preparation courses.
At present, the Damyang Community Self-Sufficiency Center is actively operating seven business units—including cafes, cleaning, lunchbox delivery, and used office furniture sales—as well as two self-sufficiency enterprises in the home repair and interior sectors, supporting the creation of a foundation for self-reliance and job creation for low-income residents.
