Gwangju Buk-gu Provides Employment Support Grants to AI Training Graduates
Eligible for Those Employed After Completing the Smart Talent Development Institute Program
Applications Accepted at the Livelihood Economy Division Until July 27
Gwangju Buk-gu will provide employment support grants to local young people who have completed artificial intelligence (AI) training and successfully found jobs. The aim is to help young people settle stably in the region and to nurture practical talent in the AI sector, which is a future core industry.
On May 19, Buk-gu announced that it would offer support grants to encourage stable settlement and job-seeking activities for those who have completed AI training programs.
This project was established to foster job-ready AI talent required in the industry and to promote youth employment. It will be carried out in collaboration with the Smart Talent Development Institute, a non-profit organization.
The support is available to residents who are officially registered in Buk-gu, have completed an AI training program offered by the Smart Talent Development Institute, and have maintained employment for at least three months. However, those who have already received support grants from the same program are not eligible.
This year, Buk-gu plans to allocate a total project budget of 10 million won to provide employment support grants to 20 young people who meet the criteria.
The application period runs until July 27. Residents wishing to apply must submit the required documents, including an application form, employment certificate, resident registration certificate, a copy of their bankbook, and a certificate of course completion, either by visiting the Buk-gu Office's Livelihood Economy Division in person or by mail.
Buk-gu will comprehensively review the submitted documents, select the final recipients in August, and then distribute the grants in a lump sum to individual accounts in September.
