'Cultural Heritage Research Seulgimadang' to Be Held Four Times
From May 21 to October... "Colloquium" Renamed in Korean
The National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage announced on May 19 that it will hold the “Cultural Heritage Analysis and Research Seulgimadang” four times from May 21 to October 22 at the auditorium of the Analysis Science Center in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon.
Since 2023, the event had been held under the name “Colloquium,” but this year it has been renamed to the Korean term “Seulgimadang,” which means “an open space to share and gather wisdom.” Experts from various fields will be invited to introduce the latest trends and major cases, and to facilitate open discussions.
This year, under the theme “The Scientific Link to Understanding Cultural Heritage,” the event will take a scientific approach to various materials and analytical data. It will spotlight interdisciplinary research processes and cases that have opened new horizons in conservation and research.
