Two Years in a Row for the "Blue Ladder" Project... Dong-Eui University of Science and Technology Strengthens Global Competencies
Overseas Training Programs in Australia and Malaysia
Dong-Eui University of Science and Technology (President Kim Youngdo) has been selected as a participating university in the "2026 Blue Ladder Project," organized by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Student Aid Foundation.
The university announced on May 18 that it will carry out the project for the second consecutive year, following last year's participation. The Blue Ladder Project provides opportunities for overseas university training and career exploration to low-income and underprivileged university students who lack overseas training experience. The training expenses are supported by national funds and matching investments from the university.
With this selection, Dong-Eui University of Science and Technology plans to expand overseas educational opportunities for local students and support the enhancement of global competencies. The program will operate for about four weeks starting in July. A total of 28 students—including 23 from Dong-Eui University of Science and Technology and five from other universities—will be dispatched to Phoenix Academy in Perth, Australia, and Berjaya University in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Participating students will receive safety and career education before departure and will take part in local language training and major-related company visit programs. Dong-Eui University of Science and Technology explained that even after the training is completed, it will operate performance-sharing events and post-management programs to ensure that the overseas experience leads to employment and career planning.
