On May 15, KOMIR signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Sinoflex Membrane, a subsidiary of Sinoflex specializing in advanced water treatment membrane technology, for the "Development of Mine Drainage Purification Equipment and Technical Cooperation."
This agreement aims to build a "next-generation modular purification system" that combines the mine environment restoration and water quality purification expertise KOMIR has accumulated over the past 20 years with Sinoflex Membrane's advanced water treatment membrane technology. The goal is to improve both efficiency and cost-effectiveness compared to existing equipment.
Through the agreement, the two organizations plan to enhance cooperation in four areas: joint development and patent acquisition for mine drainage purification facilities, joint participation in government and private research and development (R&D), expanded exchange of technology and information, and collaboration on pilot tests and data analysis based on field operations.
KOMIR intends to provide field data to enhance the completeness of the technology, while Sinoflex Membrane plans to further advance its water treatment technology based on this data and lay the groundwork for entry into domestic and international markets.
Both sides expect this partnership to improve the operational efficiency of water purification facilities, reduce costs, and serve as a foundation connecting technological innovation with business commercialization.
