Seocho District Ranks First in Seoul for Pledge Fulfillment in the 8th Term

Seocho District in Seoul ranked first among Seoul's district offices in the evaluation of "the top basic local government in regional pledge fulfillment for the 8th popularly elected term," which was announced on May 15 by the National Local Government Monitoring Group of the Korea Law Consumers Association.

View original imageThe monitoring group assessed 77 pledges from Seocho District, giving a total fulfillment score of 71.30 points. By score range, 36 pledges received between 4 and 5 points, which was the highest number; 34 pledges scored between 2 and 3.5 points; and only 7 pledges were in the 0 to 1.5 point range, the lowest count.
This survey covered 18,265 pledges from 226 basic local governments nationwide during the 8th popularly elected term. According to the monitoring group, approximately 3,100 participants conducted cross-checks and evaluations four to five times each.
The national average score for pledge fulfillment in the 8th term was 63.58 points, the lowest among the most recent three evaluations. The average for the 7th term was 64.11 points, and for the 6th term, it was 70.72 points. Seocho District’s score of 71.30 points is 7.72 points higher than the national average for the 8th term.

Meanwhile, Seocho District is currently in a state of administrative suspension because District Mayor Jeon Seongsu has taken a leave from his duties while running as the People Power Party's candidate for district mayor in the June 3 local elections.
