[Photo] Korea Expressway Corporation Conducts Safety Inspection on Seohaean Expressway
Lee Sangjae, Acting President of Korea Expressway Corporation (center in the photo), personally inspected the Yulamgyo Bridge on the Seohaean Expressway in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, as well as the site’s preparedness for flooding and storm damage on May 15. As part of a nationwide intensive safety inspection campaign in which 310 government ministries and public institutions inspect around 30,000 locations, Korea Expressway Corporation is assessing 124 facilities, with private sector experts, based on factors such as their age and condition. Acting President Lee stated, "Through these intensive safety inspections, we will proactively identify and address risk factors, strengthen maintenance, and create expressways that the public can use with peace of mind."
