This project targets all sections of the Jungbu Expressway and Yeongdong Expressway, which are the main national arterial networks traversing Icheon. Previously, boundaries on cadastral maps often did not align with actual usage of the expressway sites, or ownership was unclear, causing inconvenience such as restrictions on property rights for nearby landowners.
To resolve these issues, the city has closely collaborated with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and Korea Expressway Corporation to design the nation's first pilot model. During the upcoming briefing session, the city will provide detailed information on the background, procedures, and standards for boundary setting, and will directly collect feedback from landowners on site to enhance administrative trust.
Once the project is completed, the existing paper-based cadastral information will be fully converted into precise, coordinate-based digital data. The city plans to utilize this data as a core resource for establishing high-value-added spatial information such as "digital twins" and "smart city" administrative infrastructure.
